Dryden, MI – Dryden, MI – Today Paul Mitchell, candidate for Congress in Michigan’s 10th District, was named a “Friend of Agriculture” by Michigan Farm Bureau’s Agri-Pac. Following the endorsement of his campaign Mitchell released the following statement:

Sarah Black, Agri-Pac secretary and director of the Michigan Farm Bureau Public Policy and Commodity Division said, “Just like Michigan Farm Bureau works on behalf of its members — representing their interests in Lansing and Washington, D.C. — Agri-Pac’s endorsements reflect the priorities of those same members in the voting booth. ‘Friend of Agriculture’ is a title we take very seriously; it represents what we hope will be a reciprocal, mutually-beneficial relationship throughout any given candidate’s term in office.”

Black continued, “Paul Mitchell stood out as a quality leader who understands and appreciates agriculture’s many contributions to Michigan and who can effectively help reform and move our state forward in the interest of all citizens.”

“Agriculture is Michigan’s second leading industry and the 10th District is home to some of the most fertile farmland and hardest working and productive farmers anywhere on earth,” said Paul Mitchell. “Since I began my campaign I have worked hard to understand the challenges our farmers face, to listen to their ideas and share my own, and to earn their respect and support. I am very proud to have been named a ‘Friend of Agriculture.’ 10th District farmers expect their member of Congress to be their advocate in our nation’s capital and that is exactly what I intend to be in Washington.”
