Chamber notes Mitchell’s business experience, conservative principles and history of fighting tax increases
Dryden, MI – The Paul Mitchell for Congress Campaign today announced the endorsement of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce in Michigan’s 10th Congressional District. The Michigan Chamber of Commerce is a statewide business organization representing approximately 6,800 employers, trade associations and local chambers of commerce.
“We are very pleased to announce the Michigan Chamber endorses Paul Mitchell for Congress,” said Michigan Chamber President & CEO Rich Studley. “Paul is a successful business leader and conservative activist who shares the Chamber’s belief in free enterprise and limited government.”
“Paul Mitchell is a conservative outsider who ran a positive and successful campaign outpacing several experienced opponents in the primary election,” noted Jim Holcomb, Senior Vice President for Business Advocacy & General Counsel for the Michigan Chamber. “Paul is a citizen activist who last year led the fight to defeat a big sales tax increase.”
“As a U.S. Representative, he will continue his fight for solutions to grow Michigan’s economy, encourage job creation, and create more opportunities for businesses across the state to succeed,” added Holcomb.
Paul Mitchell said, “As a long time member of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce I know very well how vital their leadership is in building a stronger Michigan economy. I am very proud to have earned their support for my campaign for Michigan’s 10th Congressional District. Those seeking to build a business, create jobs, embark on a successful career, and help build our communities can trust that I will always have their needs at the forefront of my service in Congress.”
